July 2015 - camping, your first tube ride, and lots of fun with your siblings!

 This was your first camping trip.  We went to Lake Dillon.

 You laid down for bed and went to sleep instantly - you didn't seem to think it was strange at all that you were sleeping outside on the ground.  Pretty sweet.

 We set this up in the basement and you guys love it!

 You are OBSESSED with tools.  You walk around the house all day pounding the furniture and walls to "fix" them.

 Grace is such a big sister to you - you two love each other so much.

 You love it when Griffin reads to you.  He is such a good big brother to you!  And you are just like him at this age, very interested in construction trucks!

 I love this picture - we were painting Grace's nails and I was using the blow dryer to dry them - you guys cracked up when I turned it on you!

 I was baking with you and turned around to get something, and in that second you took the opportunity to grab a spatula to start eating the batter.  Good problem solving kid!

 This was taken at PDO (Parent's Day Out).  You went twice a week this summer and did an awesome job.  It was your first drop-off/school experience and I thought you did great.

Grant at Tiny Town - you liked the small buildings.  This was one of my last days before I went back to work from summer break and I had fun with you.  It is always hard to leave you, but you love your time with Grammy!

 I think this is one of the many reasons he's the best Pop Pop in the world - he let you spray him with water guns all week!

You and Pop Pop are pretty good buddies ... you two had so much fun squirting the water guns this year.

You're pretty young for jet skiing but you have no idea you're a baby so of course you wanted to join!

 Your first tube ride - you liked it for a minute or two, but then when you realized you were going to be away from the boat you started crying.  I know you'll love it when you're almost 3 next year!

"Berries" - this is what you call raspberries and you love to give them!!  Any time you see bare skin on one of us you dive in for a raspberry - and you're good at it! 

May 2015

 BeBop came out to help us after my hip surgery and you two had a blast.  You are obesessed with tools right now - to the extent that you insist on sleeping with any tool you an get your hands on, even a real hammer, which you call a "boom boom".  You spend most of you day pretending to fix things and making the sound of a drill as you do your work.  

 In your car seat with all the tools you could grab on your way out the door.  You just love your boom boom!

 Pop Pop came to visit too and loved playing with you and your tools.  BeBop made you that awesome toy so you could hammer screws through the peg board.  You love it!

You guys love sunglasses - but you particularly love any accessories - hats and sunglasses are your favorite!

Problem solver

At 17 months old you are very good at problem solving: you drag chairs all over the house in order to get what you want (a door handle, playing in the kitchen drawers, the pantry, griffins desk, the washing machine, the list goes on and on!). You were doing it at the library too - you just refuse to accept you can't do things because you're a baby, you always figure out how to do something!

Look at you in a big boy bed!  Grant, at almost 17 months old we had to convert your crib to a toddler bed because you are constantly crawling out. You are quite the climber and therefor a by if a challenge but we know you'll use your determination well some day!  We love you Grant!

Look at you in a big boy bed!  Grant, at almost 17 months old we had to convert your crib to a toddler bed because you are constantly crawling out.  One morning Griffin woke us pat 6:00 a.m. saying that you had walked in his room and woke him up - that was the last straw - at not even 1.5 yet, you can't be getting out of bed without a peep!  You actually are handling the transition to a toddler bed really well considering your young age.  For the first nap in it, we put you down like we normally do (a sweet snuggle time while we read, singing you a song ("Can't Believe You're Here Now"), and putting you in bed).  You just laid there and went to sleep without a sound!  We were impressed.  You do love your naps though, so I guess we shouldn't have been surprised.  

January 2015 - 17 months old

New Year's Eve at Grammy's

You love tools so much - it's hard to see in this picture, but you have a little wrench that you're trying to 'fix' your crib with.  You love to carry around tools and try to fix things!  

This was taken at Winter Park - you and I hung out at the bottom of the lift while Grace and Griffin skied ... it cracks me up.  

You are lucky to have a big brother and sister who love to play with you so much!  And you fit right into their play - you don't seem to realize that you are still a baby.  It is so cute and warms our hearts so much to see you guys play together.

We went bowling with some friends and you loved it!  You thought you were bowling too ...

...and you squealed, clapped, and laughed every time you 'bowled'

It was adorable to see how excited you got!  Your little legs would be pumping and you'd wave your arms in excitement.

If you get hungry and I'm busy you just help yourself to some cereal right away.  I loved that you were trying to clean up your mess on your own!

On a 70 degree day in January we rode bikes to Menchies for frozen yogurt, which you LOVE!
