You at about 2 months old - smiling and snuggly!

Grant,

Each morning we walk while Griffin and Grace ride their bikes to school.  Afterwards I try to get a run in but they usually end up like this:

 I love these moments with you Grant; I'm truly cherishing each day with you!

 This was on my 30th birthday - you came to lunch with Daddy and I and were all smiles!  It was the best gift I could ask for to see you two smiling at each other!

 I love you!

You are such a happy little guy, it has been fun to see a glimpse of your personality as you're getting a bit older ... we love you so much Grant!

2 months old

Dear Grant,

We can't believe you're already two months old!  The time is flying by!  At two months old you still eat every 3 hours, basically around the clock.  You are getting stronger each and can hold your head up really well for your age.  You are a great napper - if we lay you down when you're drowsy you just go to sleep without crying - it's like magic!  We are so impressed!  You still like to nurse in the middle of the night and we're hoping that'll end soon, but I am trying to enjoy it as I know I'll miss it some day ... you are so sweet and snuggly and I just love those quite moments when it's just you and me!  You also started smiling this month - it just melts our hearts!  We love to see you smile; it is simply adorable and makes us so happy.

At your two month appointment you did great; you weigh 11 lbs. 3 oz., (50th percentile)

You around 2 months - you are smiling more and more every day and we love it so much!

 At your two month appointment you did great; you weigh 11 lbs. 3 oz., (50th percentile) and are 23 1/3 inches long (90th percentile) - you are long!  Your head is in the 50th percentile too.

Griffin and Grace love you so much; they love to hold you, talk to you, and sing to you.  

1 month old

Dear Grant,

You're four weeks old today!  I can't get over how fast this is going by ... I'm trying to savor each and every moment with you as I know your first year will fly by and before I know it you'll be a toddler.  I am loving my days with you; my favorite part of the day is when I burp you after feeding you ... your little head and arms over my shoulder is just heaven to me.  In these moments you are so content, happy, and snuggly and it's the best part of my day!  Since you're eating every 2.5-3 hours around the clock, I get to enjoy it often!  In the first two weeks I loved these moments so much I didn't even mind getting up in the middle of the night to feed you.  My other favorite moments are when you're awake and you stare into our eyes with such wonderment - we always say we'd love to know what you're thinking!

At one month old you're such a big boy!  At around 2 weeks old you started to outgrow all the newborn clothes already.  At your 2-week doctor's appointment you weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz., the doctor said you had gained 1.5 times what the average baby gains in two weeks!

 It's also been so cute to watch Griffin and Grace fall in love with you.  They both are so proud of you!  They tell everyone they have a new baby brother and each day they see us (you and I sleep in a little later than they do!) they run up and eagerly ask if you're awake.  They both love to hold you and do so lovingly whenever I let them.  The other night in our gratitude journal Griffin said he was thankful for you - we all are!
