BeBop and Pop Pop came to visit and they had so much fun with you.  They were excited to see you in the 'bibbers' (what your great grandpa called overalls) they gave you!

BeBop and Pop Pop had so much fun with you when they were here helping us move!  They were thrilled to see you in overalls, or as your great grandpa called them, 'bibber' : )

October 2014 -14 months old

 At 14 months old you go to bed at 6:30 pm and wake up around 5:30 am.  We've tried everything to get you to sleep later but you just won't do it!  You nap mostly twice a day.  Your favorite food is waffles and yogurt, and you climb EVERYTHING.  You can't be left alone on our second-story porch because you regularly try to climb over the edge--you have no fear!

 You love raspberries so much - sometimes you just grab our head and pull us towards your tummy.  Your laugh is contagious; we love it!

You were excited to ride the tricycle!  You have no idea you're a baby and expect to do everything Griffin and Grace do!

 BeBop and Pop Pop gave you this plane for your 1st Birthday and you love it!

 You are such a climber and will climb anything - including climbing in the dryer

Your 1st Birthday!

Grant,

I can't believe you are 1!  The last year flew by.  You have learned so much and it has been a joy to raise you.  You are such a blessing to our family - you love being with us and just want to play all the time.  You love to play with Griffin and Grace and always want to be included.  You're really independent and love to feel like you're playing on your own with Griffin and Grace (even though we are close by watching).  You love to climb - you'll climb anything and everything!  And you love to get in things: like baskets of toys, drawers, the bottom of the stroller, anything you can fit in.  You are beginning to enjoy reading books more and more, and it is the sweetest thing to read to you.  You like to help turn the pages.  You think giving raspberries is hilarious and often try to give them to us.  You also love to make sounds with your mouth and think it's so funny when we make them back.  You love to eat - your favorite food is yogurt.  You still nap twice a day, at 9:00 and 1:00, and you sleep through the night except you get up at 5:00 a.m. every day.  We are working on that!  

Grant, you have made us all so happy.  Griffin and Grace are delighted with you and have so much fun playing with you. Daddy and I are endlessly in love with you and couldn't be more proud of you.  You are such a sweet heart - we can't wait to watch you grow up!  

Your first birthday happened to be Griffin's first day of kindergarten - so it was a busy morning!

You still do the bear crawl too because you're so fast at it!

 You love swinging!  And swinging with you is one of my favorite things to do.  You squeal with delight when we go high!

Grant,

I have to tell you that nursing you is my favorite time of day.  At 10.5 months old, you are still nursing like a champ and it is just adorable.  You nurse at 6:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.  At your bedtime feeding you are so snuggly and it just melts my heart.  At the 2:00 feeding you are usually so smily ... you can hardly nurse because you just look at my eyes and giggle.  It is so precious and your laughter is just so infectious.  I love you so much Grant - you are such a happy little boy.  

You are also so determined and pretty ballsy - today you crawled out of your high chair and onto the counter within seconds.  You love to climb anything you can and are just so busy.  You crawl really fast and can also stand up by yourself now.  I think you'll learn to walk soon, but for now you know that crawling is faster for you - and you try so hard to keep up with Griffin and Grace!  You do this funny bear crawl when you're outside with your knees off the ground--it's hilarious.

April 2014 - You love playing with your Brother & Sister!

You thought you were so funny when you climbed in the toy basket!  You continued to do this for months.

4 months old

Griffin and Grace loved joining you at your 4 month appointment.  You loved looking at yourself in the mirror during the appointment!

Grant,

At 4 months old you are such a joy!  You squeal and coo whenever anyone talks to you - you simply loved to be talked to!  We can already tell you're going to be a happy, easy-going guy!  You started rolling over both ways this month - you're quite advanced!  At your 4 month check up the doctor was amazed by how active you are (you were trying to crawl on the table) and said you were more like a 6 month old!  For about a week you were sleeping through the night but then decided nursing in the middle of the night was really pretty nice, so now you're back to waking up a few times a night.  We're hoping you'll go back to sleeping through the night soon!  You love to play and are already reaching out to grab toys.  You love the exersaucer and jumper and put everything in your mouth!

At your 4 month appointment you weighed 13 lbs. 2 oz. and were in the 50th percentile for your weight and you were in the 90th percentile for your length.  You are happy and healthy and we really couldn't be happier!
